In the middle of a bit of travel..
Chicago / CMA Week/ Wynonna

Wow, Chicago was so much fun.  I had never played in Boystown before, so it was quite an experience.   They had never experienced “video on the dancefloor” before either, so at first there was some uneasiness, but they quickly got into it. The dancefloor was packed all night from 10pm to closing.  The full set was broadcast on Fusion Radio and it was really cool to see Jessica Sutta (Pussycat Dolls) tweeting that she heard me play her record!  Speaking of Fusion, I stopped by the studios and was honored to get the full tour.  Big love to everyone in Chicago who came out to support and special thanks to Brendan, Eddie, and the staff of Roscoe’s for making me feel so welcome!  Can’t wait to play there again…

Coming back to Nashville, it’s been kinda crazy here as well.  With CMA awards and all the country fans in town, driving has been extra… special.   On Wednesday, the turnout to see Wynonna at Play was massive.  She premiered the new remix for her single “Something You Can’t Live Without” and entertained the crowd with some funny stories.  She loves her drag queens, so it’s no surprise that she plans to work with Boy George for her next dance single.  Special thanks to her management for arranging the special visit!  (Picture with Dani Deahl who partied with me at Roscoe’s!)

This Weekend

I am off to Talbott Street Saturday night to play for Pride weekend!  Excited is not the word, as this means I am spinning for two different Pride festivals – Indianapolis (this weekend) and Nashville (next weekend). I will be back to spin at Play for SINday retro night, of course.  If you are jonesing for some music in my absence, tune in to Radio Free Nashville (107.1) or online at on Saturday from 7pm-9pm and check out the new podcasts on Soundcloud, Podomatic, and the DJ Ron App.

A Limey Week

Somehow this week on Notable Scents, it took a turn for the limes.  Tom Ford Azure Lime, Geo F Trumper Limes Skin Food, and Esccentual Alchemy Lime in the Coconut were all reviewed.  Along with Mark Buxton Black Angel and the incredible RazoRock Shave Gel, there was something new posted everyday.  It feels good to be back in the groove.

Notable Dance
Speaking of in the groove, I posted one of my favorite interviews of the year so far – Frankmusik.  He was in Nashville two weeks ago and we chatted before he performed.  If you haven’t heard his new song “Maps” and “Chasing Shadows,” please do check them out.  Also posted was an interview with my favorite Pussycat Doll, Jessica Sutta, and Italian producer/DJ EDX.   Check out the new June Club chart and song reviews of Icona Pop, Duke Dumont, Cash Cash, Koishii & Hush ft Donna Lewis, and more. Be sure to check out every day for a new song of the day.  (Picture with Frankmusik taken before his Nashville show.)
